Children Of The Grave
Children Of The Grave will be published as a full colour, soft cover photographic book in Spring/Summer 2013 by American publishers EDITIONS: AD.
The project began in 2003 whilst on photography assignment at Download Festival. The band Slayer were playing and were delayed, it was a boiling hot day and everyone had been kept waiting for hours in a tent little air and no breeze and no one wanted to lose their place...people were getting anxious. After much chanting, shouting and growling the band eventually came on and the whole tent erupted with dust, spit and beer flying in all directions. It was an amazing show and one that myself and the rest of the audience I am sure will never forget.
In 2004 I followed Slayer on their Unholy Alliance European tour, photographing the fans inside and outside of the shows. The project has since been an ongoing one and i continue to photograph metal fans at a number of heavy metal festivals and shows around Europe. The project which originally went under the title Slayer Rules, has been exhibited in 5 different countries and published worldwide in a number of magazines and newspapers.
